A public job is a usual reason to want this kept private. Teachers, nurses, doctors, and anyone a stranger might already know can say that without naming the place. "I cannot be seen dating, I am married, and I can meet away from where I work" is a profile. The school, the hospital, the surgery, and the uniform stay off it.
Do not use a photo in uniform, at the building, or with a badge the right way up. You can upload a photo, make it public, and choose Keep blurred, then set it as your profile photo. Other members see that picture rather than an empty profile, and they only see the blurred copy. You still see the original. You can show it clearly later, from the same photo, if you decide to.
A web search does not open your profile. Other members see a username, an age, a town, and the photo you chose. Who can see your profile is the list. You can also choose not to appear to other members in your own town, from Privacy. You can still look. If a colleague may already be a member, you can hide your profile from an email address they use. Once that address is added, it cannot be removed. Check the spelling before you save it.
Meet somewhere you do not already go with the people you work with. Meeting without advertising it is a place, your own way there, and no check-in. If the hour is a lunch break, say so. If you can only meet in the daytime is that limit.
If you recognise a parent, a patient, or a colleague, stop and keep it to yourself. If you recognise someone is that duty. Only Amour will never ask you to pay to keep your name off the page.
