How discretion works here

What Only Amour never shows on a profile, what stays in messages, and what not to send first.
A closed notebook and a phone face down in warm lamplight.

Discretion on Only Amour means your private life is not published. Your surname, your workplace, your phone number, and your home address do not belong on a profile. A photo does not need to show a landmark outside your house, a uniform, or a child. What you choose to say in a message stays in that conversation.

The profile is the part other members can read before you have agreed to anything. Keep it to where you are, what you want, and how careful you need to be. "I live in Manchester, I am married, and I can meet in the daytime" is discreet because it is limited. A long confession is not discreet. It is a document.

Messages are the place for detail, and even there, go slowly. Do not send a surname, a workplace, a phone number, or a naked photo in the first exchange. You cannot unsend a photo in any way that matters once it is on someone else's phone. Wait until you have met, or at least until a video call has shown you a real person.

Only Amour will not put your messages on your public profile. That is the point of keeping the conversation here rather than on a social network where your name is already attached. If someone asks you to continue on WhatsApp, email, or a link straight away, treat that as a reason to slow down, not a sign of trust.

You decide what is shown. You can keep explicit photos blurred for other people by leaving your own age check as a separate choice, and you never need to upload an identity document just to have an account or to send a message. The Online Safety Act guide explains that part.

Discretion is also something you owe the other person. Do not screenshot their photos into a group chat, do not name them to friends, and do not turn up at a place they have told you is part of their ordinary life. If you cannot keep that, do not start.
