Empty café tables on a quiet stone street, with flowers in the window.

Anti-scam policy

Only Amour will never ask you for money. This page is the rule. Scam awareness is how to recognise the pattern.

What we will never do

Only Amour will never ask you for money, a gift card, a ticket, a fee, or a verification payment. Joining is free. Messaging is free. A voice call or a video call on the site is free. There is no subscription and no credit to buy.

A member who says the site has charged them, or that you must pay to read their messages, is not speaking for the site.

How it works. Scam awareness.

What we do

Profiles and uploaded photos are reviewed by people. There are no bots.

A message that asks for an email address or a phone number is not delivered. The account that tried it receives a violation point. If the account is later deleted, that safety record stays. We keep a one-way hash of the email address and the points, so the same address does not open a clean account. The privacy policy is the longer account of that record.

We review reports. Accounts that break this policy are removed. The member is not told who reported them.

Messages may be reviewed when we are looking into abuse, fraud, or a scam. A video call may be kept so a safety report can be reviewed. Neither is shown to other members.

Privacy policy. Safety.

What you should not do

Do not send money, a gift card, cryptocurrency, a bank code, or card details to a member. Do not move the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram, or another app because they say the site is being watched. Do not send your ID, your workplace, or an explicit photo to prove you are real. Only Amour will not ask you for any of those.

Why it is better to stay on the site. Spotting a fake profile.

If you think it is a scam

Stop replying. Do not send money to test them, and do not negotiate. On their profile, press Report profile and Block. Say what they asked for. You do not need to attach the photo or the document.

How to report a profile. How to block someone. Report abuse. How to block and report someone.

If you have already paid

Contact your bank and stop the payment if you can. In England, Wales, and Northern Ireland you can report romance fraud to Action Fraud. In Scotland, report it to Police Scotland. Telling us does not recall a payment. It does let us remove the account.

Action Fraud. Police Scotland. Contact.

Frequently asked questions

What should I do if I suspect a scam?

Stop replying. Press Report profile and Block. Say what they asked for. We review the report. They are not told who sent it.

Will my report be confidential?

The member is not told that you reported them. The report is reviewed so we can remove an account that breaks the rules.

Where can I get further help?

Contact your bank if money has already gone. Report romance fraud to Action Fraud in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, or to Police Scotland in Scotland.

Do you publish how many accounts you remove?

No. We remove accounts that break the rules. We do not publish a count, and we do not publish who was removed.
