The Online Safety Act is about keeping children away from pornography. Only Amour is for adults. Explicit photos and videos stay blurred until a member chooses to verify their age. They are not part of the public profile a person sees before they have decided anything.
Verification is optional. You do not need it to create an account, to be found in search, or to send a message. You need it only if you want those images shown to you in full. If you would rather not upload a document, you can keep using the site with explicit media blurred.
Discretion and the age check are different things. The age check does not publish your name on your profile, and it is not a reason to send your documents to another member. Only Amour will not ask you to pay a fee to verify, and no member should ask you for passport photos "for the site".
You can be explicit in a private conversation without putting explicit photos on your profile. Many members never verify, and never need to. The arrangement you describe in words is enough for someone to decide whether to reply.
The site is only for adults. Do not upload a photo that includes a child, and do not talk about meeting anyone under 18. If you see that, report it. It is not a discreet arrangement. It is something we remove.
Read the Online Safety Act page for the exact rule. The short version is the one that matters day to day: your account works without the check, and the check only changes whether explicit media is blurred.
