An age check on Only Amour is a switch for explicit photos. With it, those photos can be shown in full. Without it, they stay blurred. It is not a test you pass before you are allowed an account, a profile, or a message.
You can join, write what you want, search, and message people without uploading a passport or a driving licence. Plenty of members never use the check. The arrangement is described in words. A photograph of your face is enough for someone to know who they would be meeting.
The check does not put your name on your profile. It is not a badge that tells other members who you are at home or at work. Discretion and the age check are different things. One is about what you show another adult. The other is about whether explicit photos stay blurred.
Do not send identity documents to a member who asks for them "for the site", or to prove you are real. Only Amour will not ask you to pay a fee to verify, and we will not ask you to send a passport picture to a stranger. That request is a reason to report the profile.
If you would rather not see explicit photos, leave the check off. You are not missing messages. Messages arrive either way. You can decide later, and you can decide not to bother.
The site is only for adults. Do not upload a photo that includes a child, and do not talk about meeting anyone under 18. If you see that, report it. The Online Safety Act guide is the longer version. This is the practical one: the account works without the check.
