For executives
A senior job is easy to identify from a company name and a city. The profile does not need either.Use a username that is not the name on the company site. Do not use the headshot, a conference lanyard, or a photo with the logo behind you. "I have a senior job and I would rather keep it off here" is enough.
A web search does not open a profile. A member who is signed in sees a username, an age, a town, and the photos you chose. They do not see a surname, an address, or a workplace unless you typed those in.
Meet away from the office and away from the bar the team already uses. The site is free, so there is no charge on a statement to explain.
Frequently asked questions
Should I name the company?
No. A company name and a city are often enough for a colleague to know it is you. Leave the employer and the title as it appears on a staff page off the profile.
Can a client find me by searching my name?
Searching the web does not open the profile. A client who is a member and signed in might still recognise a face, which is why the photo should be one you have already accepted that risk for.
Do I pay for a more private account?
No. There is no paid tier. Joining is free and messaging is free.

Who can see your profile
What other members can read, what is not on the page, and why a web search will not open it.
